Xfinity Theatre
Lil Wayne and company are bringing their talents to the Xfinity Theatre on Tuesday, August 5th. The show is part of Wayne's Tha Carter VI North America Tour. He's celebrating 20 years in the business with this road trip and a new album of the same name!
Tyga is going to be following Lil Wayne throughout this entire tour. You better believe that he'll get up on stage to sing some of his most popular solo tracks like "Taste." The man's also got a new album, so keep an eye out for those new tracks when he hits the stage in Hartford.
Belly Gang Kushington is slated to be the first performer on stage on Tuesday, August 5th. He's an interesting up-and-coming act that will set the tone for the rest of the night. At least before this tour, he hasn't collaborated with Lil Wayne, so it's going to be interesting to see if he's filling the role of a traditional opening act or if he gets more stage time throughout the night.

Lil Wayne's celebrating 30 years in the business with new music and a tour across the country! Over the last few years, he's built his persona more than his career as a musician, and that may actually be a great thing for this show in Hartford and the entire tour, for that matter. The thing is, you know that regardless of what they're singing up there, whether Wayne's there solo, with Tyga, or whoever, it's a party. It's a hip-hop party with some of the best in the business doing their thing. Again, the tour seems to be as much about getting close to the fans as it is to promote new music.
Yes, it's a party, and yes, there are going to be plenty of rappers taking the stage. That doesn't mean, though, that the audience won't get those one-on-one moments with Lil Wayne. It's going to be really interesting to see how he handles those solo moments. These days, he's grown his persona, and he might feel a little more pressure to connect with fans. You'll have an "emotional" moment followed by "Lollipop" or "She Will." It's going to be a wild scene for sure, and one that's going to be worth the price of admission.
There's something for everyone at this venue. Die-hard fans will want to gravitate toward the pit to be at the center of the action. If you want a VIP experience, those boxes in the middle are where you can find a high-class concert-going experience. Maybe you and the boys just want to be on the lawn chillin. There are some benefits to that, for one, you'll be closer to concession stands with food and drink options. You have to decide, though, what's more important for you? A great view, a comfortable experience?
