We’ve seen band members come and go, and some have just gone too soon — yet the legendary stature of the Allman Brothers Band has remained steadfast, and their iconic music legacy has been engraved in the hearts and minds of their solid fanbase.  Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, organ, songwriting), plus Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson (drums), the Allman Brothers Band were one of the proponents of the jazz-rock-blues fusion sound that blazed new trails for what is now known as the ‘Southern rock’ sound.  From 1971 to 2005, the Allman Brothers Band collected eleven gold and five platinum albums; was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995; and Rolling Stone ranked them 52nd on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004.

Steve Winwood is a superstar one-man-show.  A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and album producer whose genres include blue-eyed soul, R&B, rock, blues rock, pop rock, and jazz.  From the electric organ, synthesizers, bass, drums, guitar, mandolin, violin and other strings, Winwood has delighted his fans with his notable studio work and live jam sessions, spanning a career of 50 years of commercial success and critical acclaim.   Rolling Stone magazine ranked Winwood #33 in its 100 Greatest Singers of All Time; along with the prestigious honor bestowed upon him as  BMI Icon at the annual BMI London Awards for his “enduring influence on generations of music makers.”
