Janet Jackson has expanded her 2023 "Together Again" concert tour by introducing a summer leg! This time around, the singer is bringing in Nelly as a special guest. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will embark on a 35-date tour of the United States - over a year after announcing her much awaited comeback to the road with her ninth concert tour. The 2023 tour, produced by Live Nation, was Jackson's most successful tour to date. It had a total of 36 sold-out dates.
The new leg will begin on June 4 in California's Acrisure Arena and will feature stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Cleveland, Brooklyn, and New Jersey before concluding on July 30 at Arizona's Footprint Center.
The "Together Again" tour celebrates Jackson's 50th anniversary in entertainment and recognizes the milestones for three of her most critically acclaimed albums: 25 years of "The Velvet Rope," 30 years of "Janet," and 35 years of "Rhythm Nation." Meanwhile, Nelly will perform his greatest hits from the last two decades.
When Jackson announced the tour last year, she suggested that there "will be new music" in addition to her comeback on stage. However, she hasn't disclosed any more details regarding the follow-up to her self-titled studio album from 2022 in the year since.
Jackson released a promotional video announcing the additional dates for 2024, which were set to her 2001 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song "All For You." In a message to her fans, Janet Jackson wrote: “Hey u guys! By popular demand, we’re bringing the Together Again Tour back to North America this summer with special guest Nelly! It’ll be so much fun!”
